This provider is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Children's Home Manager to lead a small, specialized care service in Doncaster. This challenging yet rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with complex needs and behaviours, offering a competitive salary range of £45,000 to £60,000 if you take on registration however there is the option there for dual registration which is a salary of £60,000 - £70,000.
The home is based in Leeds a vibrant city known for its rich industrial history, thriving arts scene, and diverse cultural heritage. Leeds boasts excellent transport links, including a major train station connecting to cities across the UK, extensive bus services, and convenient access to the M1 and M621 motorways, making it easy to navigate both locally and nationally.
As the Children's Home Manager, you will be responsible for:
•Establishing and developing a new, innovative children's residential service
•Managing and fostering a cohesive, high-performing staff team
•Setting and reviewing ambitious targets and objectives for the care team
•Promoting collaborative, partnership-based practices with young people and their families
•Ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and well-being for the children in placement
The ideal candidate will possess:
•Minimum of 2 years' experience in staff supervision and management
•At least 2 years' relevant experience in residential childcare, preferably as a Deputy Manager
•Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
•Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare
•Full clean driving license
•Proven ability to provide consistent, nurturing care and support to young people
•Experience working with children displaying challenging behaviours
•Flexibility to cover shifts as needed
