The Client

The Role
The Supply Chain Manager will ensure that the company's procurement and supply chain processes are optimized, and that the company's inventory is always stocked with the right quantity of products to the tightest stock turn possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting product demand, coordinating with suppliers, and overseeing inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the management of specific suppliers including procurement of products.
2. Manage and develop supplier relationships, building positive long-term relationships while considering business ethics, cross-cultural, and global issues.
3. Responsible for negotiating pricing contracts and terms.
4. Forecast product demand and manage inventory levels.
5. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely product delivery.
6. Oversee the procurement and supply chain processes.
7. Develop and implement strategies for effective inventory management.
8. Generate reports on supply and demand trends.
9. Handle any supply chain issues that may arise.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Experience/Skills - Essential
1. Proven experience of working with a large portfolio of products. Ideally, you will have experience in door products, although this is not a necessity. Experience in areas such as kitchens or similar products would be considered.
2. Excellent time management, analytical, and organizational skills.
3. Demonstrate a meticulous eye for detail, consistency, and accuracy.
4. Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
5. Proven supply chain management experience in the UK & International wholesale market with a working knowledge of importing goods including currency and freight costs.
6. Specific experience in purchasing products from the Far-East would be ideal for this role. Any existing relationships in this geographical area would be useful.
7. Strong commercial acumen including an awareness of container configurations and loadability of products.
8. Awareness of compliance e.g. UKTR/FSC/ISO9001/SMETA.
9. Previous experience of working with a product/category portfolio of over 2000 SKUs including multi-component products.
10. Previous experience of preparation of cost analysis.
11. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
12. Demonstrate expertise in written communication.
13. Strong inventory management background.
