The opportunity
As Financial Accountant, you'll play a key role within our Finance team working closely with and supporting the Head of Financial Reporting & Control and the Finance Director. You'll be a fundamental member of the wider Finance team, helping to achieve our operational objectives and ensuring that we deliver a high quality and cost-effective service to all stakeholders. This is a hybrid role with two days per week in our Swindon office. The benefits:
1. Salary - £45,00 - £50,000
2. Bonus scheme - on target bonus - 10%

Key accountabilities :
9. Support the month end reporting process and subsequent analysis – lead reporting process for smaller subsidiaries
10. Preparation of regulatory reporting for the investment firms and completion of returns for sign-off
11. Finance lead on updating ICARA at least annual or as required, driving ongoing improvements of this assessment
12. Lead audit work of smaller subsidiaries
13. Preparation & review of balance sheet reconciliations
14. Key contact and support for Omnis team providing insight and assistance as required
15. Preparation of MI packs for reporting to the board & presentation of results at management committees
16. Create and maintain successful relationships with internal and external suppliers and customers
17. Respond to ad-hoc queries relating to financial or regulatory reporting
What will you need to succeed?
18. Qualified Accountant (ideally ACA, preferably Big 4) with +2 years PQE.
19. Experience of working in a financial accounting role within a large organisation.
20. Previous experience of Financial Services sector, knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation.
21. Experience of HMRC & FCA reporting.
22. Microsoft Dynamics GP experience and knowledge advantageous.
23. Strong people (team and stakeholder) management skills.
24. Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
25. Knowledge of operational cost base and projects financial management.
26. Professional manner; enthusiastic and positive attitude.
27. Highly motivated self-starter.
28. Flexible attitude; willing to support team members with cover and assistance.
29. Ability to build relationships with other business areas and external stakeholders.
30. Competent time management skills; able to prioritise, resource and plan workload; willing to take initiative.
