First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are looking to recruit an Area Support Team Vehicle Technician on a permanent basis due to growth to be based overseas in Kenya and Oman.
As an AST Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will carry out routine and bespoke inspection, servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis mechanical/electrical repair to a wide range of advanced military wheeled vehicles to Level 1-3 Maintenance Standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Deliver the production plan
2. Ensure use of correct tools (with in-date calibration evidence), plant/machinery available to deliver the plan
3. Ensure H&S standards are followed including use of PPE, safe working areas, near miss and accident reporting and adherence to risk assessments
4. Ensure management chain is notified of risks of meeting output plan as soon as is apparent
Skills and Qualifications:
5. Experienced IT skills competent at utilising laptops and diagnostic computers with a good understanding of MS Word and Excel
6. Ability to multi-task
7. Ability to challenge and have awkward conversations
8. Ability to make rational decisions based on information available

Salary: £31,620
Working Hours: 3 months on (based in Kenya and Oman) 1 month off
