We are excited to be working with an excellent special school in Haywards Heath for 6-12 year olds with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). The school are looking for a full-time teaching assistant from September. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCPs.
Support students in their learning activities and encourage participation.
Help to create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff members.
Foster positive relationships with students, understanding their individual needs and strengths.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
Requirements:
Experience working with young people with SEMH difficulties or autistic spectrum conditions is highly desirable.
A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to our values of clarity, openness, and consistency in communication.
