Overview
The Business Analyst is an active partner and a visionary that shapes the technology demand among the business community and helps deliver the most appropriate solution.
The successful candidate will act as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community working with IT project teams and business clients to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which applications and solutions are developed.

Main Accountabilities:
1. Partner with business and technology partners to elicit, analyse, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements and solution designs.
2. Analyse, document and test program development, logic, process flows and specifications.
3. Partner with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing.
4. Working as part of a team, you will liaise with the business, project managers and other analysts to deliver efficiencies and improvements to help drive excellence within the business.
5. Working closely with all areas of the business and IT .
6. Models and cultivates behaviours that achieve business success, including collaboration, accountability, and ownership.
7. Deliver innovating configuration and workflow solutions to the main business applications to drive efficiency and success.
8. Adhere to Quality Management guidelines, as directed, in line with the framework of ISO 9001.
9. Ensure own H&S, and that of colleagues by complying with both legal and policy requirements.
10. Highlight to the line manager any concerns regarding conflicting duties or areas of responsibility.
Knowledge, Expertise and Qualifications:
11. Strong analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and translating them into requirements.
12. Ability to create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations.
13. Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas.
14. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
15. Understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards
16. Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications.
17. Relentless commitment to authentic relationships and continuous improvement of those relationships, at all levels both within the business and external partners.
18. Experience of business analysis and business process improvement is desirable.
19. Proven experience of working in a matrix management environment would be beneficial.
20. Very good communications skills – both written and spoken.
21. Experience and demonstrable examples of improving service to the business.
22. Excellent experience of process design and improvement.
