The Opportunity:
Electrical design – the cornerstone of modern existence. Imagine a world without it… A world of darkness, cold and mind-numbing boredom. And for this witchcraft to work, we need people to design the infrastructure he true heroes of this world.
To set the scene, we are a hugely established electrical manufacturing company where we are design and manufacture our own products, right here in sunny Leicester. We need a senior designer to join our existing design team to lead our design projects.
So this is the opportunity to lead the design function on some of the most interesting projects across the UK, leaving your mark.
The person:
We are open to the person on this as we have huge growth plans moving in to 2024, looking to expand significantly, but someone who has some pretty sharp electrical Design knowledge as you will be Leading design capability for legacy and new products.
This team are hugely skilled across electrical, protection & control and civil design. So you will just have to lead the high level projects with your design in what is an out and out design role.
You will need good machine design experience, but we can train you on anything that is missing.
The role:
A hands on design role where you will be leading projects within the design with AutoCAD Electrical, so a good knowledge of that would be marvellous.
We are working on some of the highest profile projects in both the public & private sector with no sign of this slowing down across a range of different sectors from rail to manufacturing to construction.
You will be overseeing the CE marking process on new designs including performing DFMEAs as part of your project too.
