Outreach worker – Crewe – September
Prospero Teaching are recruiting for an Outreach Worker in an alternative provision in Crewe. You will be required to support various students in the community. The provision is for young people with PTSD or Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and many are looked after children.
In this role, you will be required to take attendance in the mornings, and liaise with parents over absences. You will then need to go and do some support work in the community. You will need to be comfortable liaising with social services and other parties to best support the young people.
You should be confident in behaviour management techniques and deescalation strategies in order to manage the young peoples behaviour and help them to engage with the curriculum.
All the young people that you will be working with will have an education and health care plan (EHCP) which you will be able to refer to.
You must drive and have access to your own car for this role and be willing to get business insurance on your vehicle. Candidates who are not able to do this, will not be contacted.
