The Role
Toyota is the agency’s flagship client across Europe. Working with the Toyota centre of excellence in Brussels (TME), our London-based “hub” team is as integrated as they come, touching all aspects of brand, TTL creative, production, media and CRM (we also have teams on the ground in individual markets.)
We are currently in the process of refreshing Toyota’s pan-European brand platform and all aspects of the brand strategy, meaning an experienced brand-focused strategy director is needed to work with the Planning Partner and CSO on projects relating to positioning, messaging, identity and brand health.
Key Responsibilities
● Help define the most compelling articulation of the brand platform, and design the rules around how it should be applied across brand, model and reputation comms.
● Give strategic guidance on all other aspects of the brand, including visual identity, brand world, brand personality, and use of other distinctive assets such as music.
●Take a leading role on brand measurement- getting into the detail
of what the most important brand metrics are and which should be addressed through communications.
Skills and Experience
● Experience of, and passion for, using core strategic craft skills to define the absolute fundamentals of brand positioning, personality and identity.
● A willingness to get “hands on” with data would be a plus - not seeking an analyst, but being comfortable working with brand health data sets for instance, would be advantageous.
● Experience of either large multi-market clients or automotive brands is helpful but not essential.
