GSL Education are looking for TA for a special needs school for pupils aged 3 - 19 with complex learning difficulties (SLD, PMLD, ASD).
We have a vacancy for a teaching assistant to join a supportive and committed staff team working to support the educational and welfare needs of our pupils.
Applicants need to have a NVQ level 3 or equivalent and should have relevant experience in a related field working with children with challenging behaviour or supporting the needs of people with disabilities. This is a physically demanding role and a certain level of fitness is required.
This is a term time only position, plus non-pupil days - Monday to Friday.

Information about the School
The School caters for the needs of pupils with a range of severe learning difficulties. We currently have 154 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 19 years. The school is located in the centre of Clacton.
Duties:
* Support literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills development.
* Attend to personal care needs, following each student's Care Plan.
* Promote positive student behavior and keep students on task.
* Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities.
* Monitor and record student responses and achievements.
* Assist in the implementation of educational and care programs.
* Select and maintain appropriate resources and specialist equipment.
* Liaise with staff and other professionals, providing necessary student information.
* Supervise students during breaks and educational visits, facilitating games and activities.
* Physically assist students during activities, such as PE.
