We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity with a leading law firm in Norwich for an experienced Criminal Solicitor (2 Years PQE).
Role Overview:
As a Criminal Solicitor you will play a crucial role within the department. This position is a fantastic opportunity for an a solicitor who is duty accredited, and has a strong background in Criminal Law and Advocacy.
Role Responsibilities:
1. · Advising and representing clients in criminal matters, including providing legal representation at police stations and court proceedings.
· Managing a diverse caseload, including conducting thorough research and analysis of case facts, legal issues, and relevant legislation.
· Drafting legal documents, including correspondence, proofs, witness statements, and pleadings.
· Conducting case preparation, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and liaising with the Crown Prosecution Service.
· Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and other professionals within the criminal justice system.
· Representing clients in Magistrates’ Court, as required.
· Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm requirements, including maintaining accurate records and adhering to confidentiality protocols.
· Joining the local duty Solicitor scheme and/or participating in the Firm’s out-of-hours rota and providing on-call support to clients as needed.
· Continuously updating legal knowledge and skills through professional development and training.
Salary
2. £40,000 - £45,000 + payments for out of hours Police Station attendance
