About the Role
:
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working in our social housing background, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.
This role will see you working as an Assistant quantity surveyor Part of a local team assisting Commercial & General Manager with commercial control & reporting on high standard Commercial activities to Housing properties, delivering best in class commercial acumen, customer service and satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards.
1. Provide support and assistance towards the financial management of the joint venture maintenance contract, ensuring that financial targets are achieved.
2. Provide an effective interface with the clients, Partnering management, consultants, and suppliers.
3. Review, Validate and approve subcontractor quotations & variations in line with pricing agreements (NHF V7.2) to ensure value for money is achieved.
4. Agree subcontractor valuations and payments.
5. Value/Measure work in Line with Contractual pricing agreements (NHF V7.2)
6. Identify, build up, Generate and Agree Variations with the client.
7. Application & Usage of NHF Schedule of Rates for Cost & Value
8. Optimal Commercial Usage of Asset Management system by adhering to MEARS commercial protocol and processes.
Role Criteria:
9. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a commercial capacity, Working in the Social housing Sector as a principle and/or Main contractor across Voids & Repairs Business streams:
10. Experience working with typical Pricing agreements & Frameworks within a TPC Contract, which includes
11. Experience Measuring Works, Generating and Agreeing applications.
12. Experience Reviewing, Validating and approving subcontractor quotations & variations in line with pricing agreements (NHF V7.2)
13. Experience managing supply chain Partners.
14. Experience in financial reporting and data analysis
15. Strong numeracy and financial management skills
16. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are necessary.
17. IT skills including advanced Excel and Word are essential.
