Mechanical & electrical fitter

Mechanical & Electrical Fitter required. Our client is a well-established manufacturer of automated machinery based in the Wigan area. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking an enthusiastic Mechanical & Electrical Fitter to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fault-finding, testing and repair of machinery, alongside wiring control panels & electrical schematic design.

Mechanical & Electrical Fitter Job Overview
* Fault-finding, testing and repairing automated machinery
* Assisting with electrical wiring of PLC's and control panels
* Travelling to customer sites to carry out service / maintenance
* Providing remote and onsite technical support to customers
* Assisting other departments as required as part of a small team
* Utilising CAD software to produce electrical schematic drawings
* Reading electrical schematic drawings
Mechanical & Electrical Fitter Job Requirements
* Qualifications / apprenticeship with mechanical or electrical engineering
* Previous hands-on experience in the build, maintenance of service of machinery
* Full UK Driving License
* Good communication skills
* Experience with electrical schematic drawings, ability to use CAD is an advantage
* Experience with wiring PLC's is desirable
* Based in a commutable of Wigan
