JobSummary
The Junior IT Technicianensures that orders are fulfilled and other provisioning tasks arealigned with client expectations and timescales and that theiroperational Key Performance Indicators aremet.
The Junior IT Technician is a hands onposition which will need fulfil and deploy client hardware such asLaptops Desktops Servers Network equipment etc. There will also betimes where they will also need to troubleshoot diagnose andresolves issues and assist contracted clients with questions andrequests.
Scope & GeneralPurpose:
To provide prompt orderfulfilment to clients ensuring accurate and consistentcommunication of all details in plainEnglish.
DutiesInclude:
* Providingefficient and effective customer service to end users and otherstakeholders.
* Prioritising and managing yourworkload to ensure client SLAs are met.
* Manageorder related tasks to ensure smooth and timelydelivery.
* Fulfil the daytoday activities of thevarious inflight orders (e.g. setting up and configuring newequipment and systems).
* Receive and handlequeries from the Service Desk team in relation to order fulfilmenttasks.
* Ensure that customer service andcommunication with clients is apriority.
* Answer client questions and arrangetimely service from an external vendor whenneeded.
* Working with third parties to installconfigure and roll out software.
* Logging andmanaging incoming issues via our ITSMsoftware.
* Escalating more complex issues toService Desk Team
* Setup and deployment of newusers hardware and software.
* Working inaccordance with company policies procedures andpractices.
* Documenting and updating recordsregarding supported networks and devices.
* Toattend training courses and sessions when required and learn aboutnew technologies and skills pertinent to theCompany.
KeyExperience
* Customerservice experience essential especially via telephone /remote.
* Experience with Microsoft operatingsystems (Windows 10/11)
* Experience withMicrosoft Office applications.
* Experienceworking on a Service Desk within a Managed Service provideradvantageous.
* IT Troubleshooting experiencealso desirable but notessential.
