Job summary
As a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP), you will provide evidence based low-intensity CBT interventions to our patients with low mood and anxiety through a variety of deliveries such as telephone, face to face, online and to support our busy course programme. You will work closely with a team of equivalent senior PWP's and the PWP Lead in delivering case management and clinical skills supervision across all localities, while managing the locality PWP Team. You will work with the team in monitoring clinical activity, allocations, and productivity at step 2, incorporating evaluation and audit where needed. You will work alongside senior colleagues to contribute to service development initiatives and expanding Long Term Conditions (LTC) and community outreach work.
We have a strong supervision model that provides weekly, individual case management supervision, monthly clinical skills supervision and monthly line management. You will be joining a service which values PWP development and wellbeing, there are opportunities to develop your skills and explore areas of specialised interest through various CPD, national IAPT conferences and workshops, top up LTC training and opportunities to progress in the service.
Main duties of the job
*Assess and support people with a common mental health problem in the self management of their recovery.
*Provide a range of information, signposting and support via evidence based, high-volume, low-intensity psychological treatments. This support may be offered by telephone, online, face to face or via psycho-education group or webinar.
*To provide case management and clinical skills supervision to PWP's
*For locality Seniors - to line manage the PWP team
*For clinical Seniors - to lead on groups and webinar provision and oversee community and outreach initiatives at step 2.
*To work alongside the Senior Management Team to implement new service developments and initiatives, including responsibility for dissemination of information about these.
*To keep up to date with new innovations and developments in PWP practice, maintain links with the Universities/Educational Providers and ensure any new learning is disseminated to colleagues.
*To contribute to the development of best practice within the service.

Essential
1. PWP Post Graduate Qualification (training must be completed in an adult Talking Therapies service)
2. Psychology or other health-related undergraduate degree.
3. Post qualification experience in an adult Talking Therapies service
4. LI CBT Supervisor Training
Desirable
5. Working with Long Term Conditions and Medically Unexplained Symptoms in LI CBT Training
6. Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, counselling or within a psychological therapy.
7. Psychology or other health related postgraduate degree

9. Significant experience of working in an adult IAPT service with people who have suffered with a mental health problem.
10. Ability to demonstrate a range of post-qualifying experiences (min. 1 year) in offering and delivering the range of evidence-based IAPT low intensity interventions.
11. Experience of providing Case Management Supervision to PWP's.
12. Experience of providing Clinical Skills Supervision to PWP's.
13. Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes.
14. Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working with issues around safeguarding and risk management and working familiarity with Child Protection legislation.
