Hours: Full-Time / 39 hours/ Permanent
Hourly Rate: ££36,050

Delivering the Role
1. Responsible for the performance of Shops in your Area, delivering outstanding performance across Customer, Financial, People and Operational KPIs
2. Work to constantly drive down waste and inefficiency, reviewing and adapting procedures to improve efficiency and maximise output, sharing best practice with colleagues
3. Focus on continuously driving sales performance by understanding strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats both internally and externally. Pro-active to respond quickly and appropriately when threats and opportunities arise
4. Identifies trends requiring action within your P&L, understanding the cause and demonstrating the ability to develop suitable strategic plans
5. Monitor and manage labour %, budget hours, waste targets and performance across Shops, to ensure the right balance of product availability, customer service and efficiency
6. Develops high performing teams, identifying key skills’ gaps and putting development plans in place to address these and grow talent. Recruit new colleagues and effectively manage performance through HR procedures and Company policies. Develop and maintain positive relationships with teams by understanding and addressing individual motivations, needs, and concerns
7. Monitor financial processes and audit Shops invoicing, ordering and banking, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Company procedures
8. Ensure compliance with Cooplands policies and procedures, to ensure successful Shop performance and the highest levels of food safety and hygiene
9. Audit stock control across Shops, ensuring accuracy, identifying losses and investigating where concerns are identified
10. Communicate promotional offers to teams, ensuring they have all the tools needed to manage a successful promotion to maximise sales
11. Regularly visit your Shops to ensure they are all compliant with agreed standards, running efficiently and to the highest standards of customer service, product availability and presentation
12. Ensures shops look vibrant, presentable, clean and have a great atmosphere at all times
13. Use local market knowledge to identify and act upon trading opportunities
14. Anticipate future challenges and implement action plans to improve and maintain performance
Key Skills, Know How & Experience
15. Minimum 2 years experience working in an area/field management role
16. Highly motivated and target driven, with strong commercial skills. Understands the link between consistently high operational standards and results
17. Naturally thinks customer first, but also appreciates the benefits that the consistency of a strong Brand can bring; a strong advocate of “One Cooplands”!
18. Strong Leadership and People Management skills – confident to take the lead when required and capable of being a coach and mentor that enjoys motivating and supporting colleagues so they grow and achieve results. Proven ability to motivate a team to deliver outstanding performance
19. A team player who is comfortable leading by example and not afraid to “get involved” to get the job done
20. A creative but clear thinker, calm under pressure, capable of juggling multiple tasks to deliver competing priorities
21. Solution focused problem solver, who addresses the cause as well as the effect
22. Analytical with a strong eye for detail. A pro-active, completer finisher. A clear communicator, with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively to build productive business relationships

24. Strong track record of customer facing experience within a retail or food focused business, understands the benefits and challenges within a small format retail environment
25. Works collaboratively with Central Support Functions, feeding back, supporting and driving key initiatives
26. Car driver, comfortable travelling to multiple sites on a frequent basis
