Make a Home at Taylor WimpeyJob summary/PurposeAs Health & Safety Advisor you will support TWL/TWM in all things Health and Safety ensuring documentation (including RAMS) and working practices are up to date and in line with current legislation. Identify training needs and implement a training program for all employees and lead initiatives to improve the working environment. You will also promote and maintain a safe and positive Health and Safety culture. Primary ResponsibilitiesComplete task based Safe Systems of Work and ensure they are implemented and adhered to in the workplace. Carry out risk assessments and identify how risks can be reduced and action. Complete training matrix for all employees and Identify training needs. Implement health and safety training with all employees. Report and investigate incidents, accidents and new misses within agreed timescales. Advise on corrective actions and preventative measures following any reported incidence or accident. Attend H&S committee meetings. Carry out workplace inspections to ensure procedures and safe working practices are being adhered to. Conduct Health and Safety inductions for new starters, contractors and visitors as required. Identify training requirements, and also undertake Health and Safety training. Maintain contractors' records and ensure all RAMS and legal documentation is in place prior to any work on site. Manage Permits to work as required for contractors. Review and maintain H&S manual to ensure it is up to date. Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect Taylor Wimpey Logistics or Manufacturing operations. Work with external auditors to ensure (TWL/TWM) are complying to all Health and Safety legislation. Lead initiatives to continually improve the safety of the working environment. Promote and maintain a safe and positive Health and Safety culture. Liase with the group H&S in order that TWL/TWM be compliant on all group H&S policies. Any other reasonable duties as requested by line manager.
