CODED WELDER

Working hours: 8am - 4:15pm
Temporary for 3 months
Adecco are looking for a Coded Welder who is strongly skilled and experienced within this profession to join our client on a temporary basis for 3 months.
Applicants MUST have NVQ Level 3 and Coded Welding experience.
Our client is a leading organisation within the industry, and as a Coded Welder you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, testing, and inspection of mechanical equipment across the site. Your role will involve monitoring and maintaining mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work safely and in compliance with all health, safety, and environmental procedures and guidelines.
2. Engage in and support the continuous improvement culture, actively participating in relevant projects and modifications.
3. Install mechanical plant and equipment, adhering to appropriate current standards.
4. Utilise the maintenance database system to complete scheduled maintenance work on time.
5. Promptly respond to service requests from the engineering planner, prioritising tasks efficiently.
6. Monitor engineering stores, reporting any items for reordering.
7. Provide support to the project team for planned maintenance activities, including shutdowns.
8. Collaborate with the maintenance controller, process team leader, and planner regarding resource allocation, permit to work requirements, and work priorities.
9. Continually update the maintenance database, sign off completed jobs, add additional work, and report any required changes to the engineering planner.
10. Control and supervise service contractors when required.
11. Assist in the daily completion of the maintenance shift handover log, ensuring accuracy and clarity of information.
Essential skills and experience required for this role:
12. Demonstrate self-discipline in all aspects of work.
13. Understand and interpret engineering drawings.
14. Possess knowledge of pneumatics systems and logic.
15. Perform engineering tasks in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
16. Basic knowledge of MS Office.
17. Utilise a computer-based maintenance system.
18. Provide written records of engineering work undertaken.
19. NVQ Level 3/Coded Welding qualification
