Junior Physiotherapist
West Midlands Hospital and Stourside Hospital
Full Time - 30 to 37.5 hours
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
The role
We are looking to recruit a dynamic, forward-thinking, skilled individual to the position of Physiotherapist within the Physiotherapy team at West Midlands Hospital in Halesowen. We also provide a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy service at Stourside Hospital in Stourbridge where you will be expected to work 1-2 times a week.
This role would suit a Junior Physiotherapist with current skills and experience in Orthopaedic and MSK Physiotherapy. We hope to attract an individual with at least 1 year of experience.
Therapists have a dual role at West Midlands Hospital where you would be based predominantly in the outpatient service; however, flexibility is required to work in the Orthopaedic inpatient ward as service demand requires.

Your duties will include:
* Delivering high-quality physiotherapy care in a hospital setting; including the assessment, treatment, planning and development of physiotherapy treatment programmes, progressing and regressing treatment using own clinical knowledge and justification.
* Using sound rationale to solve problems and treat, sometimes moderately complex, patients within scope of practice without overcomplicating matters.
* Sound ability to use dynamic risk assessment and manual handling skills to ensure patient and environmental safety during treatment plans.
* Providing patient education and advice at all stages throughout the patient journey.
* Managing your own caseload in inpatients/outpatients as applicable, time management skills, input sessional charges via computer, book patient appointments and fully utilise own computer diary.
* Acting in a professional manner at all times respecting privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
* High regard and implementation of health and safety procedures regarding patients, colleagues and the environment at all times, including infection control procedures.
* Excellent communication, customer care and customer service skills.
* A commitment to CPD, mandatory training and E-learning.
* A good standard of IT literacy and willingness to learn new information technology as required.
* An active involvement in the day-to-day running of the department.
* Working effectively and independently as part of the Physiotherapy team and the wider multi-disciplinary team.

What you'll bring with you
* BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy.
* 1+ year of MSK experience.
* Current HCPC and CSP Registration.
* Ability to undertake a full clinical caseload of MSK outpatients including direct referrals and post-op patients with a wide variety of conditions.
* Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office.
* Proficient in running relevant post-op and other classes required by your line manager.
