Job Responsibility
1. You will lead the site M&E department who are an experienced team working across specialist areas such as Process, Compliance, Production, Automation,, Projects, Utilities, and site services.
2. You will be responsible for leading & developing the M&E roadmap onsite as we grow, also working with UK peers to chart the course towards world-class maintenance and engineering practices, encompassing the Arla Performance System, specialized topics relevant to the dairy industry and specific dairy product production.
3. Takes leadership in developing, anchoring and role model a lean/safety/quality/food safety/sustainability/digital/continuous improvement culture.
4. You will develop the M&E department to provide the reliability and capability required as the site grows both in size and strategic importance.
5. Manages maintenance activities using the Arla-specific CMMS and OEE. Responsible for analyzing data to ensure the right equipment maintenance strategy and continues improvements are implemented.
6. You will work closely with Operations on the journey of Operator Asset Care (OAC) improvement & expansion
7. Financial understanding and work within the framework set by corporate finance. Responsible for targets and forecasting of budgets, Accountable for the effective control and deployment of an annual maintenance budget.
8. As part of the Site Leadership Team, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of all strategic initiatives and plans for the site.
9. Delivers technical input and budget proposals to CAPEX applications. That includes close collaboration with other functions and relevant stakeholders to ensure new equipment on site meets the relevant legislation and Arla Foods standards.
10. Ensures execution of approved simple/small CAPEX projects within budgets & support ongoing major capex investment with our “Baldur Project” and “All purpose Whey”.
What do I need?
11. A robust understanding of M&E within an automated fast moving manufacturing environment.
12. Strong understanding and experience working with M&E safety & compliance.
13. Proven M&E focussed continuous improvement experience (TPM, WCM methodology preferred)
14. Strong leadership experience with a focus on people development, having managed a M&E department with c30 engineers.
15. An appetite for creating positive change and experience in culture-led change management.
16. We are looking for someone who gets the best out of others, who will lead, coach, motivate and inspire people to perform on a day-to-day basis
17. Unphased by short term priority changes whilst keeping the long-term goals on track.
18. Capable of demonstrating and leading with a true sense of urgency to meet business needs.
