Job Description
The Senior Financial Controller manages the finance & administration departments of a defined portfolio of entities with the respective Finance Managers reporting directly to him/her. Additionally you will have the opportunity to grow into a Managing Director position.
The responsibilities include:
Finance:
1. Guiding, developing and retaining strong finance & administration teams
2. Building knowledge, update, train & consult FMs and their teams on Group reporting requirements (IFRS etc.), policies, processes, standards, etc.
3. Supporting & reviewing month-end & year-end financial reporting
4. Supporting financial managers on questions arising from audits / (external) reviews
5. Supporting and reviewing the budgeting & forecasting
6. Substituting the finance managers where needed
7. Driving improvements and efficiencies and raising financial awareness across the business
8. Performing project work to build business and improve / streamline systems, processes and controls
9. Building and maintaining specialist knowledge in defined areas ( ERP system, transfer pricing, etc.)
Managing Director:
10. Overall site responsibility covering 30 employees
11. Responsible for Health and Safety
12. Responsible for all employee related tasks in close collaboration with the global People function
Qualifications
Education & Work Experience
13. Bachelors / masters degree in finance, accounting or similar
14. Minimum 10 years experience in a Finance and Management role
15. Previous work experience in a Big 4 audit or known consultancy firm desirable
16. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) desirable
