Join a powerhouse team of UI/UX designers and engineers! We collaborate daily with UX Designers, our Engineering Team, and wider stakeholders to craft user-centric experiences across web and mobile. What Will You Be Doing?
12. You’ll be responsible for designing best in class User Interface assets and artifacts that follow best practices and are aligned to our design and technology principles, and brand guidelines.
13. You’ll be designing and developing UI assets using a variety of code, including HTML, CSS, Sass, React, JavaScript.
14. You won’t be in this alone! You’ll be collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the business, to deliver a variety of changes in multiple Agile workstreams. You’ll be proudly representing the UI Design and Engineering function whilst managing own workloads appropriately.
15. You will need to be ‘hands on’ to support cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team by providing expertise and advice on your specialist area and contributing to the development and maintenance of our design system.
What Do We Need From You?
16. Key to this role is a real customer focus and desire to deliver engaging and inclusive customer experiences online. An eye for detail and being flexible in your approach is also key for success as your role will be varied, as you may work on several pieces of work at once.
17. You’ll need to be proficient with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma (or similar), with experience of UI kit creation and maintenance.
18. You’ll also need strong technical skills including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Sass and working knowledge of React for UI engineering.
19. Experience of Design System creation and/or maintenance is important - including working with UI repos, contributing towards process and documentation, awareness of systems, tools, processes, and applications used – such as Storybook, ZeroHeight, KnapSack or similar.
20. Working, collaborating and communicating clearly, with a variety of technical and non-technical colleagues and stakeholders, including presenting design output to these audiences.
21. Working in a fast-paced agile environment, managing multiple deadlines, you will need to be able to work as part of a multi-discipline team and on your own initiative.
