About this role
This role sits within the Strategy, Insight and Governance team (S.I.G) in our Technology Department that holds accountability for providing internal consultancy to help transform UK Tech.
What you’ll do
Ability to pay attention to detail, communicate well and be a strong business partner are essential skills for this role. We need you to not only understand the data, but be able to provide insight and analysis through clear visual, written and verbal communication.
As a Senior Business Insight Analyst, you’ll need to:
1. Business partner within UK Tech in order to produce high quality, accurate and timely reporting that effectively informs and drives the investment portfolio of the business.
2. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
3. Interact with various stakeholders in order to understand what the data is telling you
4. Be able to deliver Insight to management, “Tell the story” from the data and information sought out
5. Ownership for the teams automated data processes
6. Liaise with internal customers to fully understand data content
7. Gather, understand and document detailed customer requirements using appropriate tools and techniques
8. Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to the Tech Delivery using SQL (preferably using Snowflake)
9. Able to design, develop, and implement business intelligence solutions (preferably using Tableau)
10. Ability to present analysis and insight successfully to management using reporting tools
11. Develop and own reporting processes

13. Excellent communication for interacting with customers, Management and writing analysis / Insight
14. Knowledge of Database and Data Warehousing concepts
15. Experience delivering self-service tools, analysis and data solutions
16. Good facilitation skills – ability to collaborate/present to a variety of individuals
17. Excellent numerical and analytical skills
18. Knowledge of data analysis tools
19. The ability to carry out data quality control, validation and linkage
20. Strong programming languages - SQL
21. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets
22. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
23. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

25. Experience in business intelligence and analytics platforms - Tableau
26. Experience with using the delivery tool Jira
Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham office.
We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
