Quality Engineer

JOB PURPOSE
Ensure quality in SSEP, suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce failures, and meet customer/Sellafield specs. Support handover of project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in delivering project Quality Assurance & Control Strategy.
2. Plan, evaluate, and verify quality, embedding improvements to ensure effective delivery and cost control.
3. Help deliver project portfolio quality improvement plans.
4. Support the Learning from Experience process at the project level.
5. Deploy QA activities to ensure right-first-time delivery.
6. Support the SSEP handover process.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Monitor, analyze, and report quality performance, e.g., monthly dashboards.
2. Review and accept supplier quality submissions.
3. Help implement Quality & Life Time Record strategy for SSEP.
4. Develop and agree on quality plans, identifying necessary inspections.
5. Provide technical advice to project teams.
6. Propose quality improvements and influence stakeholders for changes.
My profile
Essential Experience:
1. Graduate in relevant discipline with experience in project delivery or similar roles.
2. Project experience in Sellafield or similar high-risk environments.
3. Relevant security clearance to inspect site areas.
4. Experience reviewing and accepting Lifetime Quality Records.
5. Ability to work effectively in a project team.

Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
