My client is looking to recruit passionate, reliable and qualified practitioners to join our team. This role consists of working as an important member of the team listening and following instructions given by the senior team and manager. The main duties for the role will be to provide a warm friendly environment that is as safe as possible while providing high-quality education and care for the children. It is key that we help children grow to the best of their ability and reach their maximum potential. The nursery is based in Wembley and has good indoor and outdoor facilities, easily accessible due to excellent bus and train routes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plan daily activities and understand the (EYFS) framework.
2. Understand children from birth till the ages of 5 and be able to track their progress and development as they grow.
3. Communicate with parents, members of the senior team, and manager to ensure everything runs smoothly.
4. Keep the children’s area clean and make sure there are no hazards to ensure a safe environment.
5. Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care and education.
6. Attend training and development opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
1. Level 3 CACHE or NVQ in Childcare or equivalent.
2. Experience of working with children in an early years setting (preferably at least 6 months).
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to think on the spot.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
6. Willingness to learn more about the needs of the children.
7. Current First Aid at Work qualification.
8. Safeguarding level 3.
9. Previous experience of working with young children ages 6 months to five years.
10. Be knowledgeable of child development.
11. Knowledge of child protection procedures.
12. Friendly and flexible approach at work, ability to build relationships with senior team members and managers.
