What you will be doing as Accounts Administrator
Administration and processing of a range of accounting documentation and payments in a fast-paced accounting department. This includes purchase invoices, subcontractor invoices, sales invoices, and wages. Data entry of accounts transactions into accounting software ensuring that transactions are appropriately coded for reporting purposes. Ensuring all accounts processing and documentation follow both internal reporting requirements and legal requirements including the Construction Industry Scheme.
Key responsibilities:
1. Processing and coding of purchase invoices.
2. Processing and coding subcontractor invoices including administration of compliance with the CIS scheme.
3. Raising and coding of sales invoices.
4. Administration of bank payments.
5. Performance of bank reconciliations.
6. Payment of PAYE/NI.
7. Administration of monthly and weekly salaries including corresponding with our external payroll provider.
8. Processing and payment of commissions and expenses.
What you will need as Accounts Administrator
1. Experience of working in a fast-paced Accounts department.
2. Proficiency in using Accounting software.
3. Experience of accounting for CIS is an advantage but not critical.
4. Good communication skills – Demonstrates a wide variety of communication skills to suit a fast-moving business.
5. Organisational skills – Naturally understanding the importance of an organised work approach.
6. Analytical skills – Ability to spot, raise queries, and suggest solutions where items being processed appear unusual or are not as expected.
7. Interpersonal skills – Demonstrates dynamic approaches to different communication methods with individuals.
8. Teamwork and collaboration skills – Moves within a team seamlessly and ensures other individuals are supported.
What we offer as an Accounts Administrator
1. Salary: £28,000 per annum.
2. 40 hours per week Monday to Friday office-based full time.
