We are looking for a Commercial Strategy & Transformation Controller to play a critical leadership role as part of our commercial team. You will actively partner with customer teams & the wider business to deliver strategic analysis & programmes that help enhance our commercial performance, identify & build new commercial capabilities as well as deepening partnerships with strategic customers.
This is a critical strategic role that delivers projects across the Strategic planning horizon. The role leads a small team – with key responsibilities;
1. Own PSP, ACP & AOP process – co-ordinating with wider teams & owning specific commercial deliverables growth outlook, sub-channel strategy, GTM transformation.
2. Identify key shifts in consumer, shopper & customer agenda that could impact Pep & build credible programmes & action plans.
3. Own Pep growth story & key internal material & updates conference, inductions etc.
4. Commercial consulting team and business partner to Sales & VP of Sales & Tesco Group.
5. Process & analysis for key customer meetings
6. Commercial workstreams in core business projects
Responsibilities

7. Strategic Problem Solving: Evaluate performance and analyse future opportunities. Frame and diagnose problems, test choices and develop a solution. Inform the long-term strategic commercial agenda with an emphasis on commercial impact.
8. Influence & Communication: Facilitate decision making through clear and well-articulated business proposals. Collaborate and partner closely with cross-functional initiative leads to ensure successful realization of commercial goals, and develop comprehensive and cohesive change plans.
9. Project Management: Drive governance & portfolio management of commercial strategy initiatives and integrated roadmap for successful and timely delivery (business case, status, timeline, milestones, risks, resources, investment and capabilities). Organize and direct both internal and external resources to successfully perform targeted tasks.
10. Diagnose: Frame the problem to solve, capture/map the current state and internal/externals comparisons and benchmarks.
11. Design: Develop solutions in partnership with commercial & cross-functional teams and business leaders, find opportunities to enable growth and/or drive productivity/efficiency in the end-to-end value chain, prioritize and align on roadmap of actions across time horizons with key stakeholders.
12. Plan & Execute: Maintain integrated roadmap and master list of initiatives, including business case, status, timeline, milestones, risks, and requirements for successful and timely delivery (resources, investment and capability needs).
13. Drive the execution of initiatives in accordance with approved plans and targets, resolve bottlenecks and track performance against set milestones and goals/criteria. This can include both co-ordination of initiatives led by others or direct responsibilities.
14. Maintain an external mindset, including staying on top of consumer, competitive, and macroeconomic/geopolitical trends
15. Create executive ready project deliverables for senior leadership reviews including presentations for SLT, UK Exec, Sector Leadership, PepsiCo Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
16. Partner with UK, Sector & Global Strategy & Transformation Teams to scope and implement corporate wide initiatives impacting commercial.

20. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills (ability to create presentations and present in a clear and succinct manner to senior audiences).
21. Outstanding Project Management: Ability to drive an agenda autonomously with strong prioritisation skills – requires working in a highly-matrixed organization, handling competing priorities and connecting the dots across multiple large-scale initiatives that have interconnecting impact across functions.
22. Good knowledge of the external environment (consumer, customer, macros, competitors), UKBU business system and opportunities/challenges.
23. Team player with the ability to excel in an agile, collaborative, ambiguous environment demonstrating strong people skills, flexibility and willingness to take on diverse tasks.
