Forsyth Barnes are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK company in the automotive sector, seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a strong background in financial data.
About the Role
We are looking for a talented Business Intelligence Analyst to join a dynamic team, supporting the finance division. As part of a close-knit analytics group, you will be instrumental in ensuring the business has access to key data insights for strategic decision-making and tracking performance across various markets, including the UK, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, and Portugal. The role involves developing and maintaining a comprehensive reporting suite across all business functions, working closely with the Data Engineer to ensure a robust data pipeline and a well-maintained central Data Warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain a standard suite of management reports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and create user-friendly reports that deliver actionable insights.
3. Manage and control access to reports, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
4. Conduct ad-hoc analysis based on business needs and self-initiated projects, presenting findings in a consistent format.
5. Educate business users on available reports, promoting a self-service approach to data.
6. Maintain detailed documentation of key processes and tasks.
Essential Skills and Experience
1. Advanced experience with Power BI for data visualisation and model building.
2. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
3. Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel for in-depth data analysis.
4. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
5. Eager to learn and enhance technical skills continuously.
6. Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and within a team.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly.
8. Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
