We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced KS2 Teacher to join a thriving primary school in Wickford, Essex. This full-time position will begin in January 2025, with a competitive daily rate of £130 - £250, depending on experience. Additionally, you’ll be eligible for a £50 referral bonus when you recommend another candidate who successfully joins the team.
The Role:
As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in the academic and personal development of students in Years 5. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering creative, high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students, while adhering to the National Curriculum. Your responsibilities will include:
* Lesson Planning and Delivery: You will design and deliver stimulating lessons that promote a deep understanding of core subjects, while catering to the diverse learning needs of your students.
* Assessment and Feedback: Regular assessment of student progress is key. You will provide constructive feedback and adapt your teaching methods to ensure that every child reaches their full potential.
* Student Development: Beyond academics, you will foster the emotional and social development of your students, helping them grow in confidence and independence.
* Collaboration: You will work closely with fellow teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
* Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere, using strong behaviour management techniques to support an inclusive and productive learning environment.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a passionate and dedicated teacher, committed to creating a positive and engaging classroom. The ideal candidate will bring the following:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must hold QTS and have prior experience teaching Key Stage 2, with a thorough understanding of the curriculum.
* Classroom Management Expertise: Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to maintain a focused and motivated class.
* Excellent Communication Skills: You will need to build effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, communicating clearly and professionally.
* Adaptability and Flexibility: The ability to differentiate lessons for students with varying abilities, ensuring that every child’s learning needs are met.
* Team Player: You will work closely with other teachers and support staff, so a collaborative approach is essential to creating a positive school culture.
