Finance Manager
Cheltenham with hybrid working
£60,000 - £65,000
A newly-created Finance Manager position in a growing and acquisitive Cheltenham service provider. An opportunity to manage a small sized team, overseeing the day-to-day financial activities, ensuring that processes are fit for purpose and robust and taking ownership for month and year-end. This role will really appeal to those who enjoy process improvement, people management and development and working in a high change environment.
Key responsibilities
1. Month-end reporting and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
2. Preparation of statutory accounts
3. Leading the annual audit for all entities
4. Oversight of financial operations including AP, AR and banking
5. Developing and reviewing KPIs
6. Developing and implementing robust policies and procedures to improve efficiencies
7. Leading and developing a small sized team
Candidate profile
8. A qualified accountant with experience of coaching and leading teams
9. Experience of producing management and statutory accounts
10. A strong problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
11. A good level of proficiency with Excel
12. Knowledge of how to use systems to leverage efficiencies
