About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Functional Assessor to play a crucial role in the functional and disability assessments process.
You will work autonomously to assess cases of individuals applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit or a Work Capability Assessment (WCA) as part of the DWPs Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).
This will involve holding consultations and writing fair and accurate reports. As a Functional Assessor, you will only work on PIP or WCA assessments, not both.

Key Responsibilities
* Holding telephone, video, or in-person consultations with individuals applying for PIP or WCA
* Assessing complex conditions and impairments
* Using strong verbal communication skills to write high-quality assessment reports using a special IT system
Requirements
* Minimum 12 months post-registration experience working as an Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Paramedic, Physiotherapist, or Occupational Therapist
* Full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
