Finance Manager - Fuel

As a key member of easyJet's Fuel team, reporting to the Senior Manager - Fuel Strategy and ESG, this role offers full financial ownership and management of the Fuel function, serving as the primary finance contact. The role ensures strong business partnering across Treasury, Flight Operations, Sustainability, Fuel Procurement, Accounting and Controls, and Central FP&A, providing critical insights to support business owners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial planning, reporting, and analysis of fuel costs.
2. Delivering monthly P&L forecasts and budget management.
3. Supporting strategic cost-saving initiatives.
4. Engaging in projects beyond finance, such as tenders and sustainability reporting.
5. Continuous improvement in processes, forecasting, and market analysis.
This position offers fantastic sideways progression opportunities within finance or into other areas of the business, giving you broad experience and exposure to fuel operations, emissions reporting, and operational tasks. As one of the most transformative areas in aviation, fuel and sustainability will be at the forefront of industry changes over the next decade, and this role places you right in the heart of that evolution.
On a day-to-day basis, you will focus on controlling costs while maintaining visibility over market trends. This role allows you to take full ownership and responsibility, combining finance and non-finance elements, and working as a true business partner across the organisation.
Requirements of the Role
What you need to do the role:
We are seeking a qualified accountant with at least 3 years of post-qualified experience, who thrives in large, complex, and fast-paced environments. You will have excellent analytical skills, including a strong understanding of variance analysis and key business drivers, and will be adept at summarising and communicating key insights from large data sets with a high attention to detail.
You'll manage your time effectively across multiple tasks and projects, delivering insightful analysis to support the business. You must have a proven ability to interpret complex financial statements across balance sheet, cash flow, and P&L.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team. A proactive, self-starting mindset with high levels of motivation and enthusiasm is key. You will have advanced Excel skills (including basic macros), with experience in Planning Analytics and commercial acumen highly valued. While aviation experience is preferred, it is not essential. Previous experience in a business partner role within an EMEA or global organisation with multiple business units will be an advantage.

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK:
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office.
