Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Driver Trainer to join our team in Bristol on a full time permanent basis.
As a Driver Trainer you will be responsible for delivering driver related training, whilst evaluating and monitoring the impact of training on Culina Drivers.
Salary: £41,852 per annum.
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
Key Duties of a Driver Trainer:
1. Deliver in house, periodic Driver CPC training.
2. Deliver training relating to drivers’ hours / tachographs / WTD rules and regulations to new starters and existing drivers.
3. Provide new starter training / inductions.
4. Monitor and evaluate all training provided, assessing Culina needs and ensuring all needs are met at all times.
5. Report on (both verbal and written) the ability and performance of drivers following all driver training courses undertaken, using counselling and coaching techniques as required.
6. Keep and maintain up to date and accurate records of all driver training undertaken.
7. Liaise with the Transport Management team as necessary in order to maximise benefits for all training provided.
8. Monitor the standard of Culina Drivers driving and provide information, advice and guidance to departments such as H&S, Transport and HR.
9. Complete risk assessments and safe working practices for Culina sites customer sites and delivery points.
Qualifications
10. Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
11. Attention to detail/ accuracy.
12. Essential skills in LGV C&E Driving Licence.
13. Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information to trainees.
14. Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
15. A good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office applications.
16. Able to work as part of a team or individually.
17. Qualified to Advanced driving level would be desirable.
18. Excellent presentation skills.
