About the Role
Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Material Planner is responsible for, but not limited to, monitoring production and supplier schedules, utilizing the MRP system to ensure that sufficient materials are present within Qualtech Seating Systems' standard inventory levels and ensuring the timely shipment of finished goods to Customers. The anticipated start date for this role is January 20, 2025.
Your Responsibilities
* Responsible for the proper scheduling and releasing of materials at Qualtech Seating Systems, ensuring suppliers ship as required to Qualtech Seating Systems' supplier material standards and responsible for enforcing chargeback policy.
* Responsible to optimize logistics, ensure proper packaging and to manage inventory levels to Qualtech Seating Systems' satisfaction.
* Oversee production schedules and ensure daily manufacturing schedules are attained to satisfy Customer expectations.
* Responsible for the accuracy of all shipping information on all shipping documents.
* Monitors supplier delivery performance to attain Qualtech Seating Systems' goals and objectives.
* Other projects and duties as assigned.
Your preferred qualifications
* Post-secondary education in materials management or equivalent experience. Five or more years of progressive experience in a materials/manufacturing related environment preferred.
* Excellent knowledge of Customer shipping requirements, inventory controls, production scheduling, engineering systems/procedures and plant raw materials.
* Demonstrated understanding of inventory management principles and practices as well as superior analytical, planning and problem solving skills.
* Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and a proficiency with Microsoft, SAP and other manufacturing related software.
* Good attention to detail and above average problem solving ability to meet multiple demands, deadlines and to support production planning programs.
* APICS certification would be an asset.
