Following the successful award of a new contract portfolio with a FTSE100 business, we are seeking to recruit a new Commercial Analyst. In this newly created role, you will help our new client and the organisation achieve its goals by conducting in depth analysis of data, assessing pricing and revenue growth strategies, creating solutions, and planning for the future.
You will interpret and document business processes, products, and services, and be the key liaison with our new client. Through analysis you will ensure business and operational efficiencies are implemented. A key focus will be identifying and defining solutions that will maximise the value delivered and ensuring processes are optimised whilst seeking continuous improvement.

Your Role:
1. Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to support strategic decision-making.
2. Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor performance, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for growth and optimisation.
3. Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and assess the performance of new and existing products/services, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models for various projects and initiatives.
6. Generate and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, highlighting key performance indicators and trends in revenue and costs.
7. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management and clients based on data-driven analysis and market intelligence.
8. Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against business objectives and identify areas for improvement.
9. Retrieve and transform data from multiple sources so that it is useful, accurate and fit for use in scalable reporting solutions.
10. Develop and maintain management reporting, analytics, and business intelligence, promoting the use of automation and self-service solutions.
Qualifications:
11. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, with advanced Excel experience. Knowledge of SQL/MySQL and Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
12. Proven experience in financial analysis, market research, or business intelligence, preferably in a commercial or strategic role.
13. Strong analytical skills, translating complex data into meaningful insights for all stakeholders.
14. Excellent, communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
