Job Description
My client is a Logistics company near St Albans and are in need of a Business Development Executive!
With a very strong package, the OTE of Approx. £50,000 – £55,000
As a Business Development Executive you will be working in the Freight and Logistics sector, working across UK and Europe :
1. Using existing client development, maximising the business potential.
2. Identifying potential new business market sectors for the company.
3. helping to design and produce specific Customs focused presentations tailored to client’s needs.
4. Targeting relevant Logistics Managers/Supply Chain Managers.
5. New business sales canvassing for volume export or import traffics.
6. Preparing presentations and quotes for new business.
7. Visiting prospective clients in the UK and in Europe.
8. Account management will be required for specific clients.
9. Opening credit accounts for new clients.
10. Helping to manage a small but dynamic sales team.
11. Helping the Operations team to solve commercial problems.
About you:
12. Sales experience at a senior level negotiating, structuring new business deals of typically £15-£20K plus.
13. Excellent communication skills, and telephone manner.
14. New business sales background.
15. The ability to make structured and effective cold calls through to closing.
16. Strong organisational and administrative skills.
17. Language (French or German) an advantage but not essential.

Working Days:
Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm.
