Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Pay Bracket: £28,000 - £33,000 + Benefits.
We are recruiting for a business in Burnley who are looking to add to their existing finance team by hiring an experience Bookkeeper.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a business with excellent working culture and exposure opportunities. Directly working the existing accounts team and the FD, this role's mission is to deliver consistent and accurate accounts. This is a hands-on role where you will need to be able to perform across a spectrum.
Your main roles and responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily banking - cheques / cash / BACS
Responsible for the accurate allocation of all customer receipts
Support the credit controller.
Responsible for dealing with the purchase invoices.
VAT process
Processing supplier queries
General admin duties and other ad-hoc duties
The ideal candidate will have:
For success it's vital that the candidate has a strong knowledge of transactional duties and some exposure to supervising.
Previous Sales ledger and Purchase ledger experience
Cash handling experience
Experience using Excel is key.
