On Behalf of Our Client, We Are Looking for an Accounts Assistant!
Our client, a well-established family-run business based in Chepstow, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day accounting duties, including processing invoices and payments.
Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements.
Maintain the purchase ledger and sales ledger.
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Handle payroll and general administrative tasks as required.
Provide support for queries from suppliers and customers.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Proficient in using accounting software (experience with Sage or similar preferred).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A proactive, problem-solving approach to tasks.
