Artemis Human Capital has partnered with a dynamic and growing business with multiple offices, to appoint a talented Financial Controller to join their team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is pivotal in overseeing and managing the accounting function of the Belfast office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a small team of accounts staff
* Prepare quarterly management accounts and year-end accounts
* Lead the implementation of a new ERP system to enhance their accounting processes
* Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
* Manage VAT, PAYE, and CIS returns for both the UK and Republic of Ireland
* Oversee Intrastat and Customs returns
* Develop and manage annual budgets to support strategic planning
* Conduct cash forecasting and manage banking facility
* Optimise working capital management to support business growth
* Work closely with the MD
Experience:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Ability to manage and lead a small team
* Experience with ERP systems and financial software
* Proficiency in managing VAT, PAYE, CIS, Intrastat, and Customs returns
* Strong analytical skills with experience in budget preparation and cash forecasting
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with senior management
