Senior Construction Planner – UK
Understanding of the project schedule, the schedule basis and the work process to be followed for plan creation. Detailed knowledge of the project scope report and the execution strategy, including client reporting requirements to support project management.
Working with Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Procurement Managers, Construction Managers, Project Engineers and Lead Engineers to proactively develop and maintain the schedule.
1. Support the Lead Planner in maintaining fully integrated EPC Level 3 schedules.
2. Work with Construction Team to develop LII/LIII Construction Schedules.
3. Assist or Guide Construction contractors to develop Construction LIII schedule.
4. Utilising AWP process, work alongside the construction team to develop Level III Construction schedule that is supported by Engineering and Procurement.
5. Weekly/Monthly updates of Project Master Level III schedules.
6. Collection of information / and support Lead Planner for production of monthly Status Report.
7. Conduct Critical Path Analyses and recommend mitigating actions where necessary.
8. Production of progress, productive curves and earned value reporting.
9. Preparing ad hoc progress reports to facilitate effective controls within Construction and Commissioning.
10. Provide statistical data for management reviews.
11. Regular project team reviews, Public Planning Meeting and Last Planner Meetings.
12. Initiate day-to-day discussions with all groups involved in a project to assess the change / schedule implication of ongoing work.
13. Schedule reduction exercises to provide ballpark schedule views for alternatives.
14. Assist Construction team in development of action plans to avoid / minimise cost / schedule overruns.
Key requirements:
15. Minimum of 10 years major Construction planning experience including EPC head office and site environments preferably in oil and gas or energy sector.
16. Experience with UK Construction projects.
17. Advanced user of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
18. Demonstrated technical competency in the field of Construction Planning.
19. Very good oral and written communication skills.
20. Proactive approach to the work.
21. Demonstrable interpersonal, teambuilding skills.
22. Preferable to be located closer to Immingham, UK.
23. Willingness to travel and take on site assignment at Immingham, UK.
24. Experience with Deltek Acumen Risk is an advantage.
