Purchase Ledger and Treasury Manager (Hybrid)

The Purchase Ledger and Treasury Manager Role:
Our client, a global leader in marketing services, is seeking a Purchase Ledger and Treasury Manager to oversee their cash and banking department.
This position will play a critical role within the broader Finance function and is responsible for managing a team of six. The successful candidate will combine hands-on Purchase Ledger, Treasury and General Accounts expertise with strong team management skills to drive process improvements and ensure accurate financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure accurate and timely recording of customer receipts via BACS into the D365 finance system.
* Oversee the preparation and recording of supplier payments to both the bank and D365.
* Manage and update bank details and addresses within the customer and supplier master database.
* Validate and update supplier bank details in the finance system and Globalpay as needed.
* Coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and review supplier statements for missing details.
* Reconcile bank account statements weekly to ensure compliance and accuracy.
* Implement and enforce bank policies and procedures in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
* Monitor financial transactions for irregularities or potential fraud, taking appropriate corrective actions.
* Collaborate with different banking departments to ensure smooth operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
* Assist the Credit Controller in maintaining accurate debtor records.
* Address customer invoice queries as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a similar purchase ledger management, cash, banking or treasury role.
* Strong communication skills, capable of conveying financial concepts to non-finance professionals.
* Experience managing complex treasury functions, including multi-currency transactions and Forex.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
* Extensive knowledge of cash allocations and multi-currency reconciliations.
* Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
