Deputy Head of Safety and Compliance Reporting to the Head of Safety and Compliance, this role involves supporting the development, administration, and maintenance of an effective Safety Management and Compliance Monitoring System that meets regulatory and company requirements. The Deputy will act as Head of Safety and Compliance in their absence. Key Responsibilities – Safety: Facilitate hazard identification, risk analysis, and mitigation. Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely implementation. Maintain safety documentation and deliver safety training. Provide advice and periodic reports on safety performance. Participate in investigations and internal safety reporting. Disseminate safety information and monitor external insights. Ensure incidents/accidents are reported per legislation. Assist with safety audits and follow up on findings. Support safety meetings, including creating data packs and recording actions. Key Responsibilities – Compliance: Maintain the Internal Audit Plan and ensure audits are conducted per procedures. Monitor findings and observations to ensure timely resolution. Provide compliance reports and maintain documentation. Track regulatory changes and update procedures. Conduct compliance audits on third-party providers. Provide feedback to the Accountable Manager and manage approvals and authorizations for CAMO, Part 145, and Part 147 staff. Support external audits and respond to findings with appropriate action plans. Requirements: Prior experience as Deputy Safety Manager or Compliance Monitoring Manager. Strong knowledge of Operational, Aircrew, and Continuing Airworthiness Regulations. Auditor training with at least 2–5 years of experience in safety and compliance. Experience with ISO and non-UK aviation approvals is advantageous. Strong communication skills and a willingness to travel. Location: Gloucester, Biggin Hill, or Liskeard.
