A leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment is currently looking for a Logistic Planning Analyst for their site in Birchwood, Warrington. This is a 6 month contract with a potential to be extended. The position is paying £20.02 PAYE, £22.93 PAYE rolled up holiday pay and £26.24 Umbrella. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 -17:00. The position is hybrid with weekly rotating days for working from home.
The Role
This role is essential in ensuring that lead time supplier schedules are acknowledged and managed into the business on time, in full and compliantly, as well as ensuring that all supplier arrears and customer back orders have relevant and up-to-date promise dates or robust action plans in place to recover. This role also requires timely action, responding to escalated customer requirements, managing internal and external expectations and challenging supplier performance. Typical responsibilities include;
1. Ensure that all customer back orders have a relevant and up to date recovery/availability date
2. Manage communication to the Customer Services group where a recovery date is not provided
3. Report supplier adherence to processes surrounding order acknowledgements and ASN deliverables
4. Manage output from our forecasting system, communicating firm requirements and negotiating schedule changes with the supplier
5. Weekly & monthly analysis across the desk to identify and report on Supplier Performance failure:
6. Use Tableau reporting to highlight account adherence to schedules by Suppliers
7. Use output of Built In Quality process to drill down and provide root cause fix to reasons behind instances causing business grief on physical and invoice receipt
8. Using Plan-Do-Check-Act method to formulate action plan / next steps for suppliers of focus
Requirements
9. Previous work experience within a Supply Chain function
10. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
11. Previous work experience and knowledge of SAP systems
12. Previous work experience and good knowledge of EDI (Electronic Date Interchange) is desirable
13. Knowledge of Lean methodology and 8 Wastes
