Senior Stress Engineer
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse new and existing rocket motor systems, including motor hardware and propellant charge structural and thermal analysis using FEA software.
* Utilise various software and programming techniques, including Abaqus, Altair-Hyperworks, Fortran, and Matlab.
* Conduct rheological analysis of material testing results and provide advice to the technical community for validation and verification of FEA models.
* Develop motor structural test plans and participate in the delivery and assessment of structural testing results.
* Act as the structural performance technical authority for assigned projects, supporting project customer meetings, investigations, design reviews, and correspondence with customer stress engineers.
* Promote key project documentation, including structural analysis, structural test plans and reports, and structural design records.
Requirements
* Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering, or a related field like Materials Science.
* Familiarity with Material Science concepts.
* Proficiency in ABAQUS software, gained through professional or academic experience.
* Experience with CAD modelling.
Additional Information
This position offers a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £55,000 + excellent benefits. The role is based in Kidderminster, with hybrid working available.
