Role Purpose
The Scottish Borders Council is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanic to join its friendly modern workshop based at Newtown. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with excellent mechanical, diagnostic, and administrative skills.
You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work is produced and occasionally stand in for the foreperson. To succeed in this role, you must have excellent diagnostic skills, the ability to work unsupervised, a vision for the future, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. In addition, you should be a qualified motor mechanic. The Scottish Borders Council offers a supportive and dynamic work environment with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualified motor vehicle Mechanic.
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
