We are currently recruiting for a Development Underwriter to join our established and experienced Underwriting team here at RSA Glasgow on a hybrid basis.
Your Role
The Development Underwriter is a dual role with your responsibilities being split across underwriting and account management.
As the Development Underwriter you will manage a portfolio of broker relationships through effective business development strategies and collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve growth and profit.
You will acquire and retain profitable business from brokers with the Scotland region. You will build and implement sales strategies for your broker panel to deliver upon the sales plan and you will monitor the performance of the broker accounts to ensure that they are on target.
Some of your time will be spent on site in brokers offices, underwriting new business and renewals.
About You
To be successful in your role, you will need to be able to build and maintain excellent brokers relationships. You will also have considerable commercial underwriting experience across Property & Casualty or Fleet (a combination of all would be great).
You will need good negotiation and influencing skills to work closely with your broker panel and have good product and market knowledge.
