Enviva is looking for a Commercial Portfolio Analyst with a passion to help drive forward the use of sustainable bioenergy globally to be based in either of its York, UK or Raleigh or Bethesda, USA offices.
The Commercial Portfolio Analyst will work within the Commercial Team and primarily be supporting the Portfolio Management and Scheduling activities, to drive efficiencies and value creation within Enviva’s customer and shipping portfolios. In addition, they will support the Commercial Operations, Optimization and Origination teams in both the daily execution of the Portfolio and by using analytics to drive process change and improvements as well as supporting the new business development activities both in Europe and Asia.
This position reports to the Senior Business Analyst and will also provide various ad hoc support across the wider Commercial team.
Responsibilities
1. Assist managing the organizations’ customer and shipping portfolio models to effectively schedule, optimize and drive value through the portfolio ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
2. Work within the Portfolio Management team to maintain and develop portfolio scheduling tools.
3. Support the wider Commercial team to back-up the Commercial Operations, Optimization and Origination teams.
4. Conduct financial, cost/benefit, and scenario analysis to find optimal solutions to operational challenges.
5. Prepare reports and PowerPoint presentations for senior management as required.
6. Create and maintain KPI reports to track performance.
Qualifications
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role.
2. Background in supply chain logistics or economics beneficial.
3. Proficient in Excel to manage, develop and run portfolio and financial analysis and models.
4. Demonstrable experience preparing reports and presentations.
5. Self-driven curiosity to acquire detailed understanding of new fields.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment and react to change.
7. Sound judgment, attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and experience working in teams.
8. Proficient English, written and spoken, is a must.
9. Good “people skills” – ability to communicate and work across the Commercial Team and wider organization.
Preferred Qualifications - What Will Set You Apart
1. Supply chain portfolio management and scheduling experience.
2. Experience in energy markets.
