As a Corporate Tax Consultant, you’ll be the go-to person for corporate income tax matters. From capital allowances to tax analysis, you’ll be working effectively to making sure our statements are efficient and compliant. You’ll also liaise on a day-to-day basis with the Head of Tax and the senior finance team to provide your valuable insight into Corporate Tax matters.

What you'll do
1. Your role will be to support the team mainly on corporate income tax matters to include capital allowances, transfer pricing, withholding taxes, general tax analysis etc with a view to efficient and effective compliance.
2. Preparation of supporting working papers including assembly of data into tax returns and payment calculations
3. Interrogation of accounting systems and analysis of outputs from other departments
4. Ad hoc consulting and advisory projects
5. Liaising with internal stakeholders, information providers, external advisers and revenue authorities
6. Generally support compliance including process control design and testing
7. The tax function covers a broad portfolio of taxes and there will be opportunities to support on these also
What you'll need
8. CTA qualification is essential
9. Detailed understanding of book keeping and accounting principles including journal adjustments and GL reconciliations
10. Software skills (excel; word; PowerPoint; SAP)
11. Retail Industry experience is desirable
12. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
13. Negotiation skills, able to sustain opinion and handle challenges
14. Commitment to lifelong learning and personal development
15. Ability to work independently, managing conflicting priorities with ease and efficiency
16. An excellent communicator and multi-tasker with exceptional organisational abilities
