We are currently looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team based at Tarmac Cloddach Sand and Gravel Quarry, Elgin, near Inverness. The role is easily accessible from Elgin, Forres, Kinloss, Lossiemouth and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility
Reporting to the Section Manager, the Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for:
1. Carrying out scheduled planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to maintain plant condition and performance to support the delivery of the weekly production schedules
2. Monitoring and maintaining condition and performance of the various plant equipment and identify any circumstances that could result in an impact on availability or performance while supporting the Quarry Manager to meet defined KPI targets
3. Carrying out mechanical activities safely and ensuring jobs are completed in a timely manner and leading mechanical breakdown and planned repairs to ensure expected plant reliability and to optimise plant and equipment performance
4. Ensuring most effective mean time to repair methods are adopted to minimise production disruption and downtime
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Maintenance Fitter will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within an Industrial, Factory or similar environment as a Maintenance Fitter as well as:
5. Good knowledge of crushing, screening, conveying, hydraulic and pneumatic systems required
6. Fault finding ability to identify defects and recommend appropriate action
7. Good practical knowledge and experience of maintenance systems required
8. Ability to assess SHE risks arising from work activities and control risks accordingly
9. Knowledge of site-specific SHE procedures and Safe Working Practices
10. Working knowledge of plant and machinery
11. Proven evidence of using own initiative
12. Able to work part as a team
13. Happy to support other Tarmac sites in Keith, Lossiemouth and Inverness
14. Fabrication skills advantageous
