JOB TITLE: Construction Lawyer (In-house)
PQE REQUIRED: 4+
LOCATION: Newcastle (Hybrid 3 days in office)
THE ROLE: Due to business growth an opportunity has arisen for an additional Construction Lawyer to join our clients legal team .As part of a small but strong legal team you will be at the very heart of the business advising on legal issues and reducing risk. The role will include;
* Reviewing and negotiating global project appointments
* Working with a range of stakeholders across the business on construction projects.
* Supporting the implementation of legal risk management policies.
* Management of the legal team (where relevant).
* Providing assistance to other areas, data protection, IPR, property, debt.
* Assisting the other members of the legal team on wider strategic projects..
THE CANDIDATE:
* Qualified Solicitors with 4+ years’ PQE.
* Experience of professional appointments.
* Experience of construction contracts
* Legal experience of construction law preferably gained in a consultancy environment or with a client/contractor (nice to have).
* Great analytical skills and excellent legal knowledge.
* Ability to multitask, problem solve, and balance competing priorities.
* Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
